Standards and specifications conformance

The Netezza Performance Server drivers and providers conform to certain standards and specifications.
The Netezza Performance Server ODBC drivers support the Microsoft ODBC Version 3.0 and 3.5 specifications and international standards for the SQL Call Level Interface (SQL CLI) on Windows, UNIX, and Linux® systems. The international standards are as follows:
  • The X/Open CAE Specification Data Management: SQL Call Level Interface (CLI)
  • ISO/IEC 9075-3:1995 (E) Call Level Interface (SQL CLI)

The X/Open and ISO/IEC standards for the SQL CLI are published in separate documents, but the two standards are closely aligned. The Microsoft ODBC specifications are closely aligned with the X/Open, ANSI, and ISO/IEC international standards for the SQL CLI. The Netezza Performance Server JDBC driver was tested for conformance with Version 4.1 of the Oracle JDBC API specification on Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems. The Netezza Performance Server OLE DB provider supports Microsoft OLE DB Version 2.7 on Windows systems. For information about the Microsoft OLE DB implementation, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library.
