Deleting vector indexing subscriptions

You can remove a vector index for a document class or a subclass of the document class.

Before you begin

Before you remove a document class from the vector index, you need to disable active indexing for the object store. For more information, see the topic Disabling vector indexing for an object store.

About this task

When you remove a document class subscription for vector indexing, vector indexes are no longer created for the newly added documents that are of the selected document type.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Administration Console for Content Platform Engine (ACCE) as an object store administrator.
  2. Go to the object store where you want to delete the document class subscription for vector indexing.
  3. Go to Data Design > Classes > Document and select the document class.
    You can select the document class for which you want to delete the vector index.
  4. Go to the Subscriptions page for the selected document class:
    1. Select the GenAI vector indexing subscription from the list and click Delete.
      Note: In the Delete window, make sure that you do not select Delete event action.
    2. Select the GenAI vector indexing delete subscription from the list and click Delete.
      Note: In the Delete window, make sure that you do not select Delete event action.
  5. Repeat the procedure for all document classes that are subscribed for vector indexing.
