Changing the Content Assistant large language model for an object store

You can review the Content Assistant large language model for an object store.

About this task

You may change the default LLM for Content Assistant by changing the Gen AI Default LLM Model in the Gen AI configuration object, to any of the watsonx.ai hosted LLMs that the Content Assistant supports. For more information, see the topic Content Assistant supported models.
Note: If you are using a custom application, you can use the FileNet APIs to configure an optional parameter that overrides the LLM settings. For more information, see the topic Generating custom AI applications.

Procedure

  1. In the Administration Console for Content Platform Engine (ACCE), access the Gen AI Configuration object for the object store where you want to use the Content Assistant.
    Tip: Starting with Content Platform Engine 26.0, you can open the Gen AI Configuration object for the selected object store directly from Administrative > Content Assistant > Gen AI Configuration.
    1. Go to the object store where you want to use the Content Assistant.
    2. In the left pane, click Search.
    3. Click New Object Store Search.
    4. In Simple View, specify the Class as Gen AI Configuration, and click Run.
      The search results display a single Gen AI Configuration object.
    5. From the search results, click the object ID to access the properties for the Gen AI Configuration object.
  2. In the Properties tab, specify the LLM in Gen AI Default LLM Model and click Save.
