Overview of data sets
The data set generation tool compiles key metrics related to incoming queries to your domains over time. The Data sets page provides a detailed list of generated data sets, as well as tools to generate and download data set files.
After specifying the type of data you want to collect and the scope of DNS resources to include, you can generate a one-time data set or schedule a data set to be generated regularly. Generated data set files are available to download, or you can specify one or more email addresses to which the file should be sent.
Next to each data set configuration, you can view the details and the status of the latest run. You can expand the row to display more information about the data set and a list of previously generated files that you can download.
The following details appear next to each data set configuration:
- Name - A nominal label for internal reference.
- Data type - The type of measurement reflected in the data set. Options include: Number of queries, Number of EBOT responses, Number of NXD responses, or Records with zero queries.
- Frequency - Indicates whether this is a one-time data set or, if recurring, whether it is generated on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.
- Status of latest run - The current state of the most recent data set file. Possible statuses include: Queued, Generating, Available, or Failed.
- Date of latest run - The date on which the most recent data set file was generated.
- Scope - The range of DNS resources (zones, records, and so on) included in the data set.
- Timeframe - Indicates the absolute or relative time range of query data in each data set output.
- End date - For recurring data sets, this indicates the date after which no more instances of the data set will be generated.
The overflow menu next to each data set configuration provides options for downloading the latest data set file or deleting the data set configuration altogether.
