Editing API keys

API key secrets can't be edited or retrieved after creation, but you can edit the name and permissions for an API key.

Note: If necessary, you can use the API to modify the expiration date for an individual API key secret without changing the expiration dates of other secrets in the same lineage. For more information, see Edit API key secret.

Before you begin

  • You must have the Manage API keys permission enabled.

Procedure

  1. Click the User Settings icon and select Users & teams.
  2. Click the API keys tab.
  3. For the API key that you want to edit, click the options menu, then click Edit key.
  4. Edit the API key settings as needed.
  5. Click Save API key.

Result

The updated API key settings are saved and reflected in the API keys table.
