Viewing RUM performance and availability data

You can review the performance and availability of your resources in detail and how well they serve different geographies.

Before you begin

Make sure that the following are completed:

  • Your plan includes the Pulsar feature. Pulsar RUM traffic steering is available as an add-on feature to a Premium plan.
  • Pulsar applications or jobs are created.
  • Pulsar data collections are configured or beaconed.
  • Pulsar filters are set up.

Procedure

  1. Click Pulsar > RUM data.
  2. Select the filters to narrow down the data that you want to see and click Apply filter.
    • To view RUM data by resources, type the name in the Choose resources field.
    • To view RUM data by geographic location, in the Global field, start typing the name of a location and select the region that you want.
    • To view RUM data by autonomous system number (ASN), select the ASN in the Choose ASN field. The ASN filter is available only after you select a region.
    • To view aggregated data, click the drop-down arrow and select from avg, min, max, or a percentile rank.
    • To view data by a specific time period, in the Time field, select from 3, 6, 12, or 24 hour periods.
    • To view data as of a specific date, in the Date field, select a beginning and an end date.
  3. To see the performance of your resources, click the Performance tab.
  4. To see the availability of your resources and any hotspots, click the Availability tab.
  5. To change the threshold, in the Availability tab, click the Edit button in the map and type a percentage of availability that you want to show as a hotspot.
    The maximum threshold is 93%. All other data is automatically adjusted to different percentage levels.
