Deleting a notifier

When you no longer need a stakeholder or system as part of a notifier list, you can delete them from the notifier list.

Before you begin

Make sure that your user or team permissions are set to manage notifier lists.

About this task

The same notifier might be in multiple notifier lists. When you delete a notifier, IBM® NS1 Connect® deletes it from only the notifier list that you are editing. That is, if the same notifier is in another list, the notifier remains in the other list.

Attention: Do not delete the NS1 Monitoring Data Feed notifier from a notifier list unless you are sure this notifier list is not attached to any monitoring jobs. Deleting the data feed notifier will prevent automatic updates from the monitoring job to the connected answer metadata.

Procedure

  1. Click Alerts.
  2. Click the Notifier lists tab.
  3. Click the Edit icon of the notifier list that contains the notifier that you want to delete.
    To locate a notifier list, you can use the Search feature. You can also click the Open filters icon to narrow the list by notifier, by the date the notifier list was created, or by who created the notifier list.
  4. Under Attached notifiers, click the Delete icon of the notifier that you want to delete.
    A message opens advising you that deleting the notifier does not delete it from other notifier lists.
  5. Click Acknowledge.
  6. Click Save changes.
