Copying configurations between Web GUI instances

After you have cloned a Dashboard Application Services Hub instance, you can optionally copy Web GUI configurations between servers, for example, between a test and a production server.

About this task

You need to perform this task only if you have made changes to configurations in certain directories and files on the source Web GUI server that you want to replicate on the target server, or if you intend to run the Web GUI in FIPS 140-2 mode. These directories and files are not copied by the Dashboard Application Services Hub System Cloning Solution.

To copy configurations between Web GUI servers:

Procedure

  1. If you have made changes to the following directories, copy these directories from the source server to the target server:
    • install_dir/systemApps/isclite.ear/Webtop.war
    • install_dir/products/ncw
  2. If you have configured the Web GUI to run in FIPS 140-2 mode, copy the following file from your source server to your target server:

    install_dir/java/jre/lib/security/java.security

  3. Optional: If your Web GUI installation was migrated from IBM Tivoli Netcool/Webtop V2.0 or V2.1, and the following file exists on your source server, copy the file to the target server:

    install_dir/systemApps/isclite.ear/NGF2TIPGeneratedConsoleModule.war

  4. Restart the server.
