Sharing certificates

Collocated server components can share a single certificate, in particular when the common name (CN) value equals the host name or domain name of the host machine.

About this task

To share a certificate, each Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus component must specify the certificate label in the key database by using the advanced property Ipc.SSLCertificateLabel or associated command line argument -sslcertificatelabel.
Note: The Ipc.SSLCertificateLabel property and associated command line argument -sslcertificatelabel are classified as advanced and can be used only by experienced Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Administrators, or with direction from IBM Support team.
