By default, Network Manager stores historical poll
data in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual time periods. You can turn off storage of historical poll
data for any of these periods.
To turn off storage of daily, weekly, monthly, or annual historical poll data, perform the
following steps.

Edit the properties file for the Storm topology using a text editor such as vi.
By default, the Apache Storm topology takes the name
NMStormTopology and
uses a properties file named
NMStormTopology.properties.
vi $NCHOME/precision/storm/conf/NMStormTopology.properties

Find one of the following properties in the file, and set it to 0, to turn off storage of
historical poll data for the corresponding time period.
- ewma.day.storage.enabled
- Set to false to switch off storage of daily historical poll data
- ewma.week.storage.enabled
- Set to false to switch off storage of weekly historical poll data
- ewma.month.storage.enabled
- Set to false to switch off storage of monthly historical poll data
- ewma.year.storage.enabled
- Set to false to switch off storage of yearly historical poll data

Save the file.

Restart the Apache Storm topology.
