Installing and configuring IBM Installation Manager

Before you install or update Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, Network Manager, or any other IBM® products, install or update IBM Installation Manager and configure it for use.

You have two options to obtain the IBM Installation Manager and Network Manager software.

Download IBM Installation Manager to the target server and connect IBM Installation Manager to ibm.com® or a local repository. IBM Installation Manager can download other products.
Download a compressed software package containing IBM Installation Manager and Network Manager and copy it to the target server.
