Importing data manually

You can manually import your data in either CSV or JSON format into Supply Chain Intelligence Suite by creating a one-time import job on the Job management page.

Before you begin

Based on your file type, complete the following prerequisite tasks:

Review the data dictionary and prepare your CSV or JSON files. Ensure that your data files are formatted correctly in CSV or JSON format. For more information, see Sample CSV files or Sample JSON data.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, click Management > Job management.
  2. Click New Job.
  3. Click Import data and click Next.
  4. Click Add file to upload a CSV or JSON file.
  5. For only CSV files, select the object type from the available list.
  6. Select the schema type.
You can add your custom schema type or use the default.
  7. Click Next and review the information.
  8. Click Import.
    The following message appears:

New import job created Job {Job ID} has been successfully created.

  9. On the Job Management page, see the status of your import job.
Note: Depending on the size of the file, the import process might take some time to complete.

If the status of your import job is Completed, then your data import job is successful.

If the status of your import job is CompletedWithErrors or Rejected, complete the following steps:
    1. Click the Job ID and check the errors in the Job details section.
    2. Click Retry the import and check the status after a brief period.
    3. If the error persists, then correct the highlighted errors in your import file and import the file again.

What to do next

After a brief period, open the Data explorer and browse through your data to find the most relevant data objects that match your upload.
