What's new in IMS HP Change Accumulation Utility

This topic summarizes the technical changes for this edition.

New and changed information is denoted by carets (Symbol that indicates the start of new or changed content) and (Symbol that indicates the start of new or changed content) at the beginning and end of the new or changed information. Editorial changes that have no technical significance are not noted.

Revision markers follow these general conventions:
  • Only technical changes are marked; style and grammatical changes are not marked.
  • If part of an element, such as a paragraph, syntax diagram, list item, task step, or figure is changed, the entire element is marked with revision markers, even though only part of the element might have changed.
  • If a topic is changed by more than 50%, the entire topic is marked with revision markers (so it might seem to be a new topic, even though it is not).
Revision markers do not necessarily indicate all the changes made to the information because deleted text and graphics cannot be marked with revision markers.

Table 1. SC27-8443-06 updates
Description Related APARs

IMS HP Change Accumulation Utility has been modified to output DBRC API results to the new HPCADAPI DD to avoid output conflicts between the DBRC utility and DBRC API. If the DD is not specified in JCL, IMS HP Change Accumulation Utility will allocate it dynamically.

Table 2. SC27-8443-05 updates
Description Related APARs
This APAR provides the capability of site default definition in the extended batch mode by setting the default parameter of the HPCSYSIN DD statement. When the site default definition is provided in the JCL, IMS HP Change Accumulation Utility combines the definition in the site default definition and the specification in the HPCSYSIN DD at run time.

Also, the ASPREF= parameter, which can be specified as the HPCSYSIN DD parameters, allows control over the first five characters of started task name of the subordinate address space activated by standard job processing.
