If you want to ensure that only documents with specific
attribute values can be viewed, store the documents in an item-type
subset for which filter attributes are defined. The attributes must
not have several values.
Before you begin
In IBM Content Manager,
complete the Attribute filter for view section
when you create or change the item-type subset. In Content Collector for SAP, choose either of
the following methods:
Procedure
- Store only documents in the item-type subset that have
the attributes for which a filter is set and that have the attribute
values that meet the filter criteria. In this case, include the filter
attributes in an attribute-name mapping file. Content Collector for SAP then checks whether
the attribute values meet the filter criteria before it stores the
documents in the item-type subset.
- Add the filter attributes and their values to the documents
that do not have the filter attributes before the documents are stored
in the item-type subset. In this case, you must change the instance
configuration. In Configuration Feature,
take these steps in Extended settings view:
- Open the instance configuration
that you want to change.
- Go to .
- Select the Add view-filter
attribute check box.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each logical
archive that represents an item-type subset where documents with added
filter attributes are to be stored.
