Installation and configuration of web services

When you install, the installation program copies the program files from installation media to local hard drive. When you configure, you create necessary configuration files and databases, and deploy web applications on WebSphere® Application Server.

Web services depends on ICM connector, which is a component of IBM® Content Manager. Therefore, the ICM connector must be installed if you choose to install web services when you are installing IBM Content Manager. The ICM connector must also be configured before configuring web services.
