Premium and standard Weather Data APIs
The Weather Data APIs component provides weather data API packages for querying current and forecasted conditions, seasonal forecasts, lifestyle indexes, severe weather, and historical weather for analysis.
IBM® API Hub
The APIs are curated to give you only what you need in the format you need it, including alerts, notifications, forecast data, weather imagery, and damaging weather. You can use the APIs to add value to your applications by incorporating weather data directly into your applications or into your own custom AI models.
The API key that you use to build your queries determines the number of API calls you can make:
- Trial key
- The trial API key provides 50,000 API calls daily and 100 API calls per minute for internal development and nonproduction use. When the daily limit of trial API calls is reached, the key is unavailable for the rest of that day. The trial key is available for a limited time and is automatically unavailable when the trial period ends.
- Development key
- The development API key provides 1,000 API calls daily for internal development and nonproduction use. The API calls do not count toward overall usage consumption. When the daily limit of development API calls is reached, the key is unavailable for the rest of that day.
- Production key
- The production API key provides 1 million API calls per month for the standard data package. As industry solutions, you can purchase 1 million standard API calls for 4 AppPoints or 1 million premium API calls for 40 AppPoints.
