Customizing display options

On the Interact with Promoted Groups panel, you can use the PF4 key to customize the level of information that is displayed for groups and their source or target data sets.

Procedure

Complete the following steps to customize display options for the Interact with Promoted Groups panel:

  1. Press PF4 on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel to display the Display Options panel.

  2. On the Display Options panel, type Y or N at the end of the option line that you want to display, on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel. The options are initially set to N by default.
    See the following table for a list of display options.
  3. Press PF5 to save your settings.

    Option Result
    Show Source Data Set Name If set to Y (Yes), displays all source data sets for all groups on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel.
    Note: If this option is set to N, the + and - line commands can be used to control the detailed displays on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel.
    Show Target Data Set Name If set to Y (Yes), displays all target data sets for all groups on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel.
    Note: If this option is set to N, the + and - line commands can be used to control the detailed displays on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel.
    Show Extent Information If set to Y (Yes), displays device extents and extent information for all groups on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel.
    Note: If this option is set to N, the + and - line commands can be used to control the detailed displays on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel.
    Show Command Messages If set to Y (Yes), detailed command information is displayed when you enter a group line command on the Interact with Promoted Groups panel. This information is useful for diagnostic purposes.
    Note: This option can also be set from the User Session Options panel - or Option 6 on the zDMF Selections panel.
    Show Command Diagnostic Information If set to Y (Yes), detailed diagnostic information is displayed when an error is encountered on a group line command. This information is useful for diagnostic purposes.
