IBM Sterling Process Enrichment Service

The IBM Sterling Process Enrichment Service provides the ability to take a standard business document and either validate information within the business document or to gather additional information that is used to enrich the business document content.

High Level Data Flow

At a high level, the data flow for the Sterling Process Enrichment Service is as follows:

  1. A company or trading partner sends a message to IBM Sterling B2B Integration SaaS using any supported protocol.
  2. B2B Integration SaaS sends the message to the Sterling Process Enrichment Service for data enrichment.
  3. The Sterling Process Enrichment Service uses the message to format a web service request to a third party. The response from the Sterling Process Enrichment Service is merged with the original message using a map (this is the enrichment). The response from the web service can also replace the original message.
  4. The message is delivered to the customer or trading partner using a supported protocol.
