Examples of business transactions
The following diagrams highlight some of the business transactions that can be completed using B2B Integration SaaS.
Case 1
You use an EDI document to buy products from one business partner who also uses EDI. You send a purchase order through B2B Integration SaaS, your business partner turns the purchase order and sends you an invoice. After you receive the invoice, you reply to your business partner with a functional acknowledgment.
Case 2
You use B2B Integration SaaS; however, your business partner uses a different value-added network. B2B Integration SaaS interconnects with your business partner's network to enable you to exchange documents.
Case 3
You use a proprietary format and exchange documents with Business Partner A, who uses a proprietary format, and Business Partner B, who uses traditional EDI documents. You send a proprietary format purchase order to each of your business partners through B2B Integration SaaS.
- Business Partner A receives and processes the proprietary format purchase order and sends you a proprietary format invoice. After you receive the invoice, you reply to Business Partner A with a proprietary format functional acknowledgment.
- Because Business Partner B uses EDI instead of a proprietary format, B2B Integration SaaS translates your proprietary format purchase order into an EDI purchase order before delivering it. Business Partner B then processes the purchase order and sends you an EDI invoice. B2B Integration SaaS translates the EDI invoice into a proprietary format invoice before delivering it to you.
