Restarting and resending files
You can use InFlight to restart inbound files and resend outbound files. Restarting can be helpful for inbound files that did not process correctly, while resending can be helpful for files that failed to send.
Restarting files
Restarting an inbound file reprocesses the original input file by applying your company's rulesets as they appear at the time of the restart request. If your company's rulesets were changed since your data was initially processed, the most updated rulesets are used.
You can restart files on the Restart files, Search for documents, and Most recent documents pages. To restart multiple files at once, all of your selected files must be on the same page in your search results. You can restart files by running a query, selecting the files that you want to restart, and clicking Restart.
You can also restart a document on the Document detail page by clicking . All of the other documents in the same file will be restarted as well.
Resending files
Resending an outbound file applies your most recent outbound protocol settings, but does not apply any of your company's other rulesets.
You can resend files on the Resend files, Search for documents, and Most recent documents pages. To resend multiple files at once, all of your selected files must be on the same page in your search results. You can resend files by running a query, selecting the files that you want to resend, and clicking Resend.
You can also resend a document on the Document detail page by clicking . All of the other documents in the same file will be resent as well.
Determining which documents will be restarted and resent
When you restart or resend a file, the entire contents of the file is affected. You cannot select specific documents to restart and resend. To see how many documents, and which documents, are included in a file, look at the Related docs column on the Restart files or Resend files page. The number in this column is the number of documents that are contained in your file. You can also click anywhere on the row to view the Document detail page and see the specific documents that are included in your file.
