Enhanced Translation Reports

Enhanced Translation Reports are created when there is an enveloping or translation error and enough information is known about the error to produce a report. When a report is generated, it is located in the Attachment details tab of the Document detail page. If you receive email alerts for translation errors, it is also attached to that email as a PDF.

A unique report is created for each document that experiences an error. Enhanced Translation Reports are not generated for Solution Assembly Toolkit errors.

Enhanced Translation Reports have some limitations, which are:

  • The reporting system supports ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, XML, and POS formats. For input files in any other format, the reporting system assumes the file format to be POS. Therefore, the highlighting of the line that contains errors or warnings might not be accurate.
  • All non-standard formats such as XML, POS, and CSV can have data in any structure. For example, it might have headers, comments, or place holders. Therefore, the highlighting of the line that contains errors or warnings might not be accurate. In such cases, the Input File with Errors/Warnings section shows a disclaimer that mentions the same.
  • EDI documents with multiple ISA, GS, and ST segments that are processed as a single transaction are not supported, and the highlighting of the line that contains errors or warnings might not be correct.
  • Enhanced Translation Reports do not describe compliance issues that are found during translation.
  • Enhanced Translation Reports highlight whole lines, not the fields that caused errors or warnings.
  • In ANSI X12 documents, the ISA, GS, and ST segments are assumed to always be present. If they are not present, the highlighting of the line might not be accurate.
  • Enhanced Translation Reports are not be generated for ITX map failures. InFlight still shows the text version of an ITX translation report.
  • The non-WinAnsiEncoding characters might appear as “?” in Enhanced Translation Reports.
