SAP status messages

If you are subscribed to the SAP Status feature, you can use InFlight to track SAP status messages by searching for the document type SAPSTAT. Click a document to see more information about it on the Document detail page.

Procedure

Clicking on the Processed event displays more information in the File details and Event details tabs. The File details tab shows information about the SAPStatus.dat file.

You may notice that you no longer see Received events for SAP status messages; these events no longer display in order to give a clearer picture of the flow of data. A SAP status message is generated by B2B Integration SaaS, not received, so it is treated by InFlight more like a 997 Functional Acknowledgment.

SAP status messages received from an IDoc, or Intermediate Document, can contain EDI information. The fields that this EDI data place into the status message are optional.
