One or more interchanges in the batch were not delivered to the intended receiver. They did not conform to the data standard you used. The interchange header segment had a missing or invalid segment terminator.

Correcting 0231

To correct Error 0231, follow these steps:
  1. In the trading partner profile table of your translation software, verify your software is producing a segment terminator when you send data to your trading partner. If you have questions about your translation software, call your translation software vendor.
  2. Correct the segment terminator.
  3. Resend the interchange.
