Creating volume threshold alerts
About this task
Note: All users can access the View Alerts tab, and all users except Select
Access users without Volume Alerts authority can access the Create Alerts
tab.
Procedure
To create a new alert, follow these steps:
- From the bottom of the View Alerts page, click Add Alert, or from the Alerts tab on any view select Create Alerts, to display the Create Volume Threshold Alerts page.
- Select the email address(s) to which the alert should be delivered.
Only Sterling Document Tracking users with administrative authority can set up volume threshold alerts for delivery to email addresses associated with mailslots to which they have administrative access, and will be the only users with access to this list. Users without administrative authority can only configure alerts for delivery to the email address to which they are logged on, and this address will be prepopulated in their view.
- Enter a Trading Partner ID and Trading Partner Qualifier. Note: These fields are optional, but anything you enter in these fields must exist on B2B Integration SaaS.
- On the Create Volume Threshold Alerts page, enter criteria in one or
many of the fields on the page. Interchange and file alerts are based on the number of bytes, while
daily and monthly alerts are based on kilocharacters.Note: You must enter criteria in either the Interchange Size, File Size, Daily Levels, or Monthly Levels field for the setup to be accepted in the next step.
- After you have made your selections, click Submit to create the
new alert and return to the View Alerts page where you can confirm that your
alert has been created. If you submit a profile that already exists for that email address and
trading partner ID, you will receive an error message indicating that a Volume Threshold alert has
already been set up, along with a link that allows you to access that setup.Note: If you click Return, you will return to the last View page that you visited, or the View Alerts page if you accessed the Create Volume Threshold Alerts page by clicking Add Alert from the View Alerts page.
