Deploying variant PGP keys

A variant PGP key has a different version of the PGP key that is deployed in the CTE and production environments.

Before you begin

If you are creating a PGP key, ensure that you select the Uses a different PGP key in CTE and production checkbox. For more information, see Creating PGP key pairs.

About this task

In an everyday business scenario, you might want to deploy a different version of the same PGP key in CTE and in the production environments. If such a need arises, use a variant PGP key. To deploy a variant PGP key, refer to the procedure that follows.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Keys and certificates. Then, on the PGP keys list page, select the PGP key that you want to update.
  2. Click Deploy to CTE.
  3. Select Did you test your PGP key? checkbox if you have tested your PGP key.
  4. Click Continue to production.
  5. After configuring your PGP key for the production environment, click Deploy to production.
