Deploying nonvariant PGP keys

A nonvariant PGP key has the same version of the PGP key that is deployed in both the CTE and production environments.

Before you begin

If you are creating a PGP key, make sure that you leave the Uses a different PGP key in CTE and production checkbox cleared. For more information, see Creating PGP key pairs.

About this task

In an everyday business scenario, you might want to deploy the same PGP key to both the CTE and in the production environments. If such a need arises, use a nonvariant PGP key. To deploy a nonvariant PGP key, refer to the procedure that follows.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Keys and certificates. Then, on the PGP keys list page, select the PGP key that you want to update.
  2. Click Deploy to CTE. If you have selected your PGP key, upload it by clicking Upload.
  3. If you have tested your PGP key on a connection, select Did you test your PGP key? checkbox.
  4. To deploy to the production environment, click Deploy to production.
