Delay in updating the pickup time with Sterling Commerce Network (SCN)

Issue

After you pick-up a message (or document) from the SFTP mailbox, the pickup time is sent back to SCN for tracking purposes. If you delete the document immediately after you pick it up for processing, the pickup time is not updated in SCN in real-time.

The discrepancy happens because the primary processor, which is the pickup-time processor, cannot share the pickup time in real-time. Instead, the pickup-time retry processor shares the update, which delays updating the pickup time. So, deleting the document causes a delay in updating the pickup time with SCN in real-time.

Workaround

To avoid the issue, do not delete the document from the mailbox.
