Applying document configuration to all trading partners

After you create a document configuration for a document type, such as 850 or 856 for one trading partner, you can make it apply to all of your trading partners.

If all or many of your trading partners follow the same data structure as the one you created, on the Document configuration page, select the document type and the trading partner, then click the settings gear. Select Promote to universal configuration.

You cannot demote or change a universal configuration. If it no longer applies, delete it to restore the default configuration. You can then apply another or a new configuration as the universal configuration.
