Document configuration overview

Customize BTI by using the Document configuration tool to adjust how the data in your documents are mapped to the fields in the UI. Company administrators can upload sample documents as a model and configure the way that each field is displayed in the UI. This allows company administrators to make adjustments to how data is displayed to facilitate trading partner nuances in the data.

Individual custom partner configurations change the way a document type is mapped for a particular trading partner, while Universal configurations change the way a document type is mapped for all trading partners. You can have one Universal configuration per document type.

Document configuration includes training maps for each document type so that a customer sample EDI document can be uploaded to create custom-mapping configurations. Across all document types, BTI supports ANSI ASC X.12 Standard Version 3010 or later and EDIFACT version 1992 Release 1 (921) or later.
