Outbound Archive Task

The outbound archive task extracts all of the outbound transmissions that are marked for archiving to an archive landing zone. If the landing zone is the outbound processing directory for Gateway, Gateway adds the missing images to the file sets that have missing images. By default, the task extracts all batches (ICLs) that have been released. The task configuration parameters can be used to specify other selection and filtering criteria. After the outbound transmissions are archived, the outbound archive file set is marked as archived.

The outbound archive task runs as a scheduled or manual task. When it is a scheduled task, it searches for eligible extracted batches (ICL) associated to the current business day. When it is a manual task, it accepts one or both of the business day and a specific transmission name as input.

The task does not support running at the end of day, but does support end of day checking. When it receives a request for end of day checking, the task searches for any non-archived transmissions for the current business day and fails if any are found. When the end of day check fails, the task sends an error message with the non-archived transmission names to be displayed on the Transaction Server user interface.

Note: The outbound archive task extracts only outbound batches (ICL) that meet the following criteria:
  • The partner must be configured as an originator partner with the bank
  • The originator partner must be configured with an inbound product that contains a subscription to an inbound service
  • The group is an original batch (ICL). Batches (ICLs) that have been re-built are not archived to avoid archiving duplicate transactions.
