Inbound Archive Task

The inbound archive task extracts all the inbound transmissions that are marked as archivable to an archive landing zone. The input directory for the task is specified in the processedPath property of Gateway. By default, the task extracts all batches (ICLs) that have been released. After the inbound transmissions are archived, the inbound archive file set is marked as archived.

The inbound archive task runs as a scheduled or manual task. When it is a scheduled task, it searches for eligible extracted batches (ICLs). When it is a manual task, a specific file name can be specified.

The task does not support running at the end of day, but does support end of day checking. When it receives a request for end of day checking, the task searches for any non-archived transmissions and fails if any are found. When the end of day check fails, the task sends an error message with the non-archived transmission names to be displayed on the Transaction Server user interface.
