Permission Assignments - group name dialog box

The permission assignments dialog box allows authorized users to manage which permissions are assigned to the group. It is displayed in edit mode unless the user does not have the permissions required to change permissions for the group. To open this dialog box, select a group from the groups page and click the permission assignments icon in the row for that group.

Permission assignments fields

The permission assignments dialog box has the following fields:
Note: Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
Available permissions
Displays a list of permissions that are not assigned to the group and are available to be added to the group.
Note: Multiple selections can be made in this list by holding the control or shift keys when selecting permissions.
Permissions assigned to group
Displays the list of permissions that are assigned to the group.
Note: Multiple selections can be made in this list by holding the control or shift keys when selecting permissions.

Actions

The actions available on this dialog box are:
  • Right arrow button adds permissions for the group. The permissions selected in the available permissions list are added to the permissions assigned to group list.
  • Left arrow button removes permissions for the group. The permissions selected in the permissions assigned to group list are returned to the available permissions list.
  • Apply button saves the changes to the permissions and returns to the groups page.
  • Cancel button returns to the groups page. All unsaved changes are lost.
