DeleteFile: delete a file that was provided for downloading

To delete a file that was provided for downloading, and thereby prevent counterparts from continuing to download it, create a DeleteFile request. For more information about how the MSIF transfer services process a DeleteFile request, see ProvideFileForDownload: Providing a file to be downloaded by counterparts.

A DeleteFile request can be issued if both of the following conditions are met:
  • The application receives a completion code of OK in the response to a ProvideFileForDownload request, and the corresponding file transfer is completed.
  • The Response.Reference element of the ProvideFileForDownload request is available.
