Prerequisites

The FTM model tools package has the following prerequisites:
  1. Rational® Software Architect (RSA). RSA requires license activation. For more information, see Rational License Activation Kits.
    Note: In order to use the BIRT report function to generate FTM model reports, ensure that the following RSA features are installed under the Architecture reporting category:
    • Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT)
    • Architecture reporting (UML) with BIRT
    Use the Modify Packages function of IBM® Installation Manager to check for these RSA features and update them if necessary.
  2. The installation repository for the FTM Model Tools package is required. Extract the installation repository (FTM Model Tools Package repository <V.R.M.F>.zip) from the <FTM installation directory>/multiplatform/FXH_FSM_Model_Tools.zip file.
  3. IBM Installation Manager.
    Note: IBM Installation Manager is installed automatically during the RSA installation.
