Planning

This section describes some factors to consider before installing Distribution. Adequate planning enables the choice of the deployment configuration that best fits the business requirements.

It is recommended that the DB2® logs be located on a different physical hard disk drive from the database tables. If the WebSphere® Application Server is running on the same machine as DB2, ensure the WebSphere Application Server logging and tracing files are located on a separate physical disk drive from where the DB2 logs and tables are located.
