Starting the CLI
You start the CLI by issuing the dnicli command,
which is described in dnicli. You
can start the CLI in any of the following modes:
- Single-command mode
- Multi-command mode
- Command-file mode
Note: When you start the CLI in single-command or multi-command
mode via a 3270-terminal emulation, the code page that the CLI uses
for data conversion must match the host code page that is set in the
3270-terminal emulation. By default, the CLI uses the system-defined
code page. Therefore, if the system-defined code page is different
from the host code page of the 3270-terminal emulation, you must use
the -cp parameter to specify the host code page of the 3270-terminal
emulation when you start the CLI.
