Disk controllers
View the information that is shown about disk controllers in file storage systems.
A disk controller is the hardware component that controls access to disk drives. A disk controller communicates with one or more disk drives to initiate and end connections to clients.
The
following information is shown about the disk controllers:
- Associated Disks
- The number of the disks that are controlled by the disk controller. A disk might be controlled by more than one controller.
- HBA WWN
- The World Wide Name (WWN) of the disk controller. The WWN is a 64-bit string that uniquely identifies the controller. The value is only available for host bus adapters (HBAs).
- Type
- The type of disk controller, such as IDE, SCSI, floppy, or RAID. The type of disk controller that Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) use is FCAL (Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop).
