Security parameters window
The Security Parameters window allows administrator users to enable or disable Ransomware Threat Detection and Defender Integration options.
- Ransomware Threat Detection: It specifies whether the ransomware threat detection is enabled for the storage system. You can use the toggle option to enable or disable the Ransomware Threat Detection. When enabled, IBM Storage Insights sends ransomware alerts to the specified recipients. If you disable the Ransomware Threat Detection option, IBM Storage Insights stops the ransomware alert notifications. When you expand the Ransomware Threat Detection accordion, you can see the Email Override option to add or update recipients of alert messages. Each email address is separated by a comma (,) character.
- Defender integration: You can use the toggle option to enable or disable
the Defender Integration. When enabled, IBM Storage
Insights sends ransomware alerts that are detected on
a storage system to IBM Storage
Defender for immediate
action. You can expand the Defender integration accordion to view the status
of the integration requests. User can approve or decline integration requests from the
Defender integration accordion. The integration status is displayed as
described in the Defender integration column on the storage systems tabular
view. Based on the user's action, a notification message is displayed on the IBM Storage
Insights UI. The column specifies whether IBM Storage Defender is integrated with IBM Storage Insights. You can see one of the following statuses under the Defender integration column:
- Orange icon: The IBM Storage Defender integration request is pending for approval.
- Green icon: The IBM Storage Defender request is approved and integration is successful.
- Red icon: The IBM Storage Defender integration request is declined.
- Gray icon: The IBM Storage Defender is not configured.
- NA: The IBM Storage Defender system is not available for integration.
