Security posture device dashboard

It provides the compliance overview of the individual storage system.

All the monitored storage systems are divided into 5 categories, Excluded, Minimal compliance, Low compliance, Moderate compliance, and High compliance, and are displayed in the left pane of the Security dashboard.

There are two ways to navigate to this page:
  • Select any storage system in the left pane of the Security dashboard to display the individual device dashboard of the selected storage system.
  • Main menu > Inventory > Storage systems. Select the storage system. Then, select Security posture from left pane.
Security individual device dashboard has two tabs:

Overview

The Overview tab consists of the following widgets:
  • System compliance: It displays the compliance percentage of the storage system based on the defined security parameters.
  • Parameters: It displays the total number of security parameters based on which the compliance state of the storage system is identified. The segregated number of non-complaint and compliant parameters are also displayed with it.

Click View parameters to see the list of all security parameters, both compliant and non-compliant. Alternatively, you can also click on any percentage category of the donut chart to directly open it.

For more information, see Security parameters.

  • Categories by failure: It displays the category of all parameters based on which the storage system is identified as non-complaint. Each category displays the number of parameters on which the storage system is non-compliant. The categories are displayed in descending order such that the category having maximum number of failed parameters is displayed at the beginning.

Click View details to see the list of all security parameters. Alternatively, you can also click on any percentage category of the donut chart to directly open it. For more information, see Security parameters.

  • It also displays the policy to which the system is assigned. For more information, see Security dashboard policies.

Security parameters

You can directly view the parameters list by clicking Security parameters tab on the Security individual device dashboard.

Below the tabs, the Status displays the number of complaint and non-compliant parameters. Also, there are 3 options, Text-based search field, Filter icon button, and Text-based report button. For more information, see View systems.

After that, a table is displayed with the list of all security parameters on which the storage system is either compliant or non-compliant. It has the following columns:
Table 1. Security parameters
Column name Description
Parameter Name of the parameter.
Category Category in which the parameter is defined, such as, security, data protection, audit logging, authentication and data access control, etc.
Status Displays the state whether the parameter is compliant or non-complaint.

Each row has a three dot menu with View details option. Clicking on it, opens a side pane with parameter details.

Note: The device security is evaluated after the probe event is completed. The last time when the data was collected can be seen on the top-right corner of the dashboard.
