Creating capacity planning reports

About this task

Create report for the projected capacity data of a device for selected time frame and download the reports.
Note: Capacity planning requires at least 7 days of collected capacity data. Capacity planning becomes available only after the required data is gathered.

Procedure

  1. Go to Insights > Capacity Planning.
  2. Choose one or more devices or a STaaS environment and click Next.
  3. Click on selected storage systems to enter the past and future dates in Forecasting Timeframe and click Apply.
  4. You can view the key metrics and a chart that show the predicted capacity growth of your resources for the selected time frame.
  5. Click Reports, and click Create Report.
  6. Enter the unique name of the report.
  7. Enter the description of the report and click Next.
  8. Preview the report, click Next.
  9. Select the format such as CSV, HTML, or PDF file and click Download.
