Calling a ruleset using a message-driven rule bean

You can call a message-driven rule bean (MDB) by calling a queue request with or without a reply or calling a topic request with no reply.

Calling a queue request with no reply
To call a queue request with no reply, you write code that locates the connection factory and queue, creates the queue connection and session, then closes the sender and the queue connection and session.
Calling a queue request with a reply
To call a queue request with a reply, you write code that locates the connection factory and queue, creates the queue connection and session, and sends a message to the queue, and then closes the queue connection and session.
Calling a topic request with no reply
To call a topic request with no reply, you write code that locates the topic connection factory and topic, creates the topic connection and topic session, sends a message to the topic, then closes the connection and session.
Using JMS MQ binding in IBM Process Server
To call a message-driven rule bean when using WebSphere® MQ, you have to bind the JMS object message by using a custom data binding.
