You can deploy rules that were developed in Rule Designer to different rule execution environments. There are different ways of deploying a ruleset, and several options to consider.
Deploying decision services
To deploy decision services to Rule Execution Server, you use deployment configurations, which define the RuleApp that contains the rulesets to be deployed.
Managed Java XOM
With Java™ XOM management, Java XOM resources and libraries are generated as JAR or ZIP files when you deploy to Rule Execution Server.
(Deprecated) Deploying rulesets from classic rule projects
The deployment of business rules to Rule Execution Server consists of making rules that were developed in Rule Designer available on a target system. You might have to follow configuration steps.
Deploying and writing RuleApps by running Ant tasks
Whether your RuleApps originate from decision services or from classic rule projects, you can use Ant tasks to deploy RuleApp archives to a running Rule Execution Server instance and write the RuleApps to a file system or database.
