Deleting data connections

Data connections can be deleted from the event project, the event runtime, or both.

About this task

If a referenced data connection is deleted, all business object field definitions that referenced the deleted data connection are set to an incomplete state. Fields in an incomplete state can be redefined by editing the field properties and referencing appropriate data connections and fields.

Procedure

  1. In the Event Explorer view, click the down arrow to open the Event Explorer menu. Click Asset Presentation > by type to view the different asset type folders in each event project.
  2. Open the event project and expand the data connections folder to display the defined data connections.
  3. Right-click the data connection name that you want to delete and click Delete.
  4. A Confirm Delete dialog box opens. The dependent assets that are using the data connection are listed.
  5. To delete the data connection, click OK.
  6. The data connection is deleted.
  7. Edit any dependent assets and define an appropriate data connection and fields.
