Preparing your cluster for IBM Cloud Pak for Data

Before you install IBM Cloud Pak for Data, complete the following tasks to prepare your cluster.

Who needs to complete this task?

Cluster administrator A cluster administrator must complete the appropriate tasks to prepare your cluster.

When do you need to complete this task?

One-time setup The tasks in this section are completed once per cluster where you plan to install Cloud Pak for Data.

However, if you plan to deploy multiple instances of Cloud Pak for Data and the instances include different services, you might need to review the tasks in this section to determine if any of the prerequisites need to be completed based on the services that you plan to install.
