You can gather diagnostic information to be sent to IBM® Support when a problem arises.
About this task
To gather diagnostic information, create and run a diagnostic job in the Cloud Pak for Data administration tool.
Procedure

Log in to the web client as an administrator.
- From the navigation menu, select
.
- Click New diagnostics job.
- Specify the timeframe for which you want to gather diagnostic information by clicking the
Gather diagnostics from the past menu.
- Under the Name column, select the services for which you want to
gather diagnostic information.
Tip: If you encounter a problem with one of the following features, ensure that you
gather diagnostic information for
Common core services:
- Platform connections
- Deployments
- Jobs
- Notifications
- Projects
- Search
- Click Start.
- When the job finishes, select it, click ..., and select from the
available options.
- To download a compressed file of the diagnostic information onto your computer, click
Download ZIP.
- To duplicate the diagnostic job, click Duplicate job.
- To delete the job, click Delete diagnostic job.
