Selecting a mapping routine to work on
To select a mapping routine to work on, click any part of the mapping routine in the Outline view.
Recall that the mapping editor displays (see Linked views):
- In the Outline view, a high-level view of all the mapping routines contained in the mapping file.
- You can perform a few operations on mapping routines, messages, and transforms here.
- In the mapping routine area, a view of the contents of the mapping routine that is currently selected in the Outline view.
- When the mapping editor opens, the first mapping routine is selected by default.
- You can perform any supported operation on a mapping routine here.
To select a different mapping routine to work on in the mapping routine area:
- In the Outline view select any element of the mapping routine that you want to work on.
The mapping routine inside which you select becomes the currently selected mapping routine and its mappings are displayed in the mapping routine area.
Alternative method:
- In the EST Project Explorer double-click the mapping routine that you want to work on.
The mapping file is opened in the mapping editor (if the file is not already opened there) and the mapping routine that you double-clicked becomes the currently selected mapping routine.
