Basic tasks with mappings and transforms

This group of topics describes basic tasks that you can do with mappings and transforms.

Creating a new transform
To create a new transform, click the Create a New Transform icon on the toolbar of the mapping routine area. Alternatively, you can create a new transform by using the contextual menu.
Creating a connection
To create a new connection between a source element and a transform, or between a transform and a target element, drag the first element to the second element. Alternatively, you can create a new connection by using the pop-up menu.
Moving the end point of a connection
You can drag the end point of a connection to a different source element or target element.
Deleting a message, transform, or connection
To delete a message, a transform, or a connection, select the item and then click the Delete selected elements icon on the toolbar of the mapping routine area. (Alternatively, you can delete any of these items using the pop-up menu.)
Sorting mappings by source element or by target element
To sort the mappings in the mapping routine area by source element or by target element, click the Sort mapping by source icon or the Sort mapping by target icon on the toolbar of the mapping routine area. (Alternatively, you can perform either of these two actions using the pop-up menu.)
