Enable the operating system repositories

To ensure that the system can install and update packages, you must enable the operating system repositories and complete the following steps:

  1. Register the system with the appropriate subscription service to gain access to official repositories and updates. For details, see Red Hat Subscription Central.
  2. Configure the YUM repositories to point to the correct sources for package installation. This includes enabling the required base and optional repositories and verifying connectivity to the repository servers.
