Further considerations for backup and restore

The mechanism that is integrated into IBM Fusion Data Foundation covers the backup of application-specific data and state.

It is important to emphasize that the underlying OpenShift Container Platform cluster implies additional backup considerations, which are outside of the scope of this document. Such considerations include the backup of the cluster’s 'etcd' database, which is the key-value store of Red Hat OpenShift.
