IBM entrusts an individual in the Enterprise Federation Technical Owner role with full authority to manage the identity provider configuration (IDP) solution for the entire partner organization.

An Enterprise Federation Technical Owner’s role differs considerably from that of the Enterprise Federation Business Owner. Where the Enterprise Federation Business Owner is the main “decider”, the Enterprise Federation Technical Owner is responsible for the configuration and operation of the technical solution.

The Enterprise Federation Technical Owner is not necessarily the actual “administrator” of the partner configuration, although they could be.
